This is a dinner that should be had, if you enjoy experience as much as the food itself. It's not about the ambiance, it's about how one plays with their food, and truly experiences it.
The menu isn't much of a menu, you pick one of two options, and it's a poem. Each line represents a dish. A kind of vague menu, but don't worry about that. Enjoy. Dominique Crenn's team has a delicate hand with flavors, occasionally allowing scents to enhance the experience as well. The dinner we had leans strongly toward the seafood side of the world, so if you're one for meat, their standard menu may not be for you. If you want to try something new, find interesting wine pairings, and help break down stereotypes of a stuffy wait staff. Try it. The staff is formal, but if you talk to them, they'll talk to you, and it was actually a lot of fun. Note, do allocate time for this meal, as it's not a quick bite by any stretch of the imagination.
