“Perfect Italian Restaurant”
Reviewed November 7, 2012

My wife and I are fond of small unique Italian restaurants, the likes which consist of those found in NYC or the north end of Boston. Seven Hills provides that intimate experience. Tucked within the Nob Hill neighborhood, the restaurant provides a dining experience unlike most in San Francisco. The dishes are creative, the wine list extensive, and the service good. We will be back the next time we are in San Francisco.

“Wonderful bistro!”
Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

A delightful bistro with top notch food. Crispy chicken skin appetizer was a nice surprise. Eggplant parmesan was really first rate. It's hard to go wrong here. Service was attentive. This a small place and you should expect to sit close to others as the tables are small. It can also be a bit noisy but not annoyingly so. Nice wine list. Deserts were very nicely prepared. Prices averaged $50 per person. Cable cars run directly out front which makes for easy transport and a charming view from your table.

“In a city full of exquisite restaurants, Seven Hills is simply wonderful”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

We came to San Francisco for our 25th and chose Seven Hills based on others recommendations. Thanks everyone... we had a wonderful time. The courses were fantastic. We recommend Mom's turkey meatballs as a starter, the ravioli or spaghetti with Grampa George's sausage. I had a fish special that the most succulent I have ever eaten. Alex and Stephanie also went out of their way to make our evening special. We are currently doing a loop through through California but have already booked a reservation for the night before we fly out. I hope you find Seven Hills as enjoyable we do.

“A Salty Place”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

A small intimate restaurant that has charm, warmth and character. The menu is mouth-watering to read and the smells coming out the kitchen are intoxicating. Our first plates were very good with a hint of saltiness. Unfortunately second/third plates had too much saltiness to our liking. We kept the dessert simple with ice cream to cleanse our palates. Our waitress was very nice and attentive when we arrived. However once the restaurant was full and very busy, we were ignored. Maybe it was an off night for the house or maybe our taste buds were off. I would certainly go back and give Seven Hill another shot based on the wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor.

Hi NYCNATIVE

Well you checked us out and for that i am thankful. I am sorry to hear that your experience was not what you were hoping for. We do tend to have a heavy hand when it comes to salt. Please let us know and we will rectify any situation at the time rather than letting it spoil your experience. Sorry to hear about service, it is something that we are working on, although we have a small place it can fill up very quickly and thus can leave some guests feeling neglected. We are aware of this and i think have fixed this problem. On a different note i take it you will be checking us out again, i really look forward to that day and hope we can change your impression of my restaurant.

“Good basic food, with a hipster touch”
Reviewed November 4, 2012

Fund out about this place because of the ratings. Enjoyed ourselves very much. Had a late night seating, and never felt rushed. Service was outstanding. The entrees were tasty and well made. fresh, not overwhelming, and good comfort food . I was a bit surprised to find the menu mostly basic Italian fare, with a slight edge to it.
