“Twice is Nice!”
Reviewed July 3, 2014

This is my second tour of Carmel and Monterey with Great Pacific. My wife and I went in 2011 with Tour Guide Cynthia and loved it. We knew if we returned again to SF we would rebook this tour. And Tour Guide Buddy did not disappoint. He provided a wealth of information about the history of the area and California in General. And he did so with wit and a sense of humor making the trip a lot of fun. We enjoyed the great meal which was included in the trip as well as our time in Carmel and Monterey. I also never get bored visiting Pebble Beach and going on the 17 mile drive. If you want to go on an informative tour in a quaint, clean van with an excellent tour guide, great meals and unforgettable views, then the Great Pacific Carmel Monterey tour is for you. You may even go twice like we did!

“Lovely Trip but needed more time”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

We did a trip to Muir Woods and Sausilito. Loved the small van, it was clean and comfortable and the driver was super nice. Muir Woods was lovely but i wish we had had time to have lunch in Sausilito and gone back with the van, instead due to time constraints we stayed and caught the ferry back which was great but it cost us anothee $21. It probably only needs an extra hour. The trip was lovely though and having the option of taking the ferry back was lovely especially because the weather was perfect. A little tweeking and this would be a fabulous trip

“Covers the basics but not enough time”
Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

We felt that yes, we got to see most important things in the city but in the couple places where we actually got out to look around, we were only allowed 10 minutes which in most cases isn't enough. Particularly the stop at the cliff house needed to be at least 30 minutes in order to properly see the ruins and caves.

Our tour guide was unenthusiastic and let long silences occur where she could have been filling us in with more city detail.

She was accommodating though and dropped us off at the wharf where we wanted to end our tour.

Would have been nice to see Lombard street up closer.

Hello, we are sorry to see that you were not satisfied with our tour of San Francisco. Our listed 3.5 hour duration city tour is designed to introduce visitors to San Francisco. As you probably noticed there are many sights to visit and many visitors choose to return to sights on their own after taking our tour. We usually don’t include the Clift House on our tour, your guide went out of her way to include as much as possible in a short period of time. Sometimes, due to safety concerns, our tour guides have to pay more attention to driving than to talking. Tour busses, even the small busses are unfortunately not allowed to be on or near the crooked part of Lombard Street without risking an expensive ticket. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in San Francisco.

“The best way to see the sights!”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

This private tour bus is a smaller van and more roomy and comfortable than the bigger busses. It also had choices of city site visits, so we could see as much as we wanted within time constraints. In two shorter trips, we were able to see, hear stories and experience all the legendary places we wanted to visit- like Pacific Heights, Civic Dome, Nob Hill, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park and Bridge, Muir Woods, and Sausalito. The best sightseeing we've done in a long time.
