“Great way to see SF!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

We only had one full day in SF, and the hotel concierge recommended Great Pacific, since we wanted to see Muir Woods and a city tour. This comfortable van served us well. We had about 9 people on the tour; the driver picked us up at our hotel, and off we went. We spent time at Muir Woods in the morning - it was enough time to see what we wanted to see and take pix. For those of us who wanted to afternoon segment of the city tour, we got dropped off to get our own lunch at Fisherman's Wharf and were told to meet back at a certain time. We then spent the afternoon being shown the sights of San Fran, with a few photo stops along the way. We got to see all the highlights, so it was well worth the cost. We were really pleased, and really saw everything, and drove up and down those hilly streets a lot! It was fun, and the driver gave us lots of history and information as we went. We had a great day.

“Great way to see San Francisco”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

Excellent small tour of San Francisco, only 10 people on the bus. A great way to get a good overview, of this wonderful city by the bay. I highly suggest trying to sit on the left side of the bus, because you get a much better view of the city.
The only turnoff was being hustled for a tip at the end of a very nice 3 hours.
This is not a quotation: The bus has a sign about tipping, if you enjoyed the tour please show this by tipping your guide.

“Muir Woods Tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 15, 2013

Really enjoyed the tour of Muir Woods we took with Great Pacific. We were picked up right on time from our hotel lobby, and bustled off to the woods. Had a great drive right over the Golden Gate bridge, and we were able to take in the scenery on the way to the park entrance. Muir Woods parking can be an absolute disaster, so this tour is a great way to see the site without the hassle of getting in and out of the park. (And driving on some intense mountain roads!) We had a decent bit of time to explore the woods - they are a site I wouldn't miss. The woods are beautiful and serene - it feels a bit like walking around in Jurassic Park! After exploring the woods we headed off to Sausalito - there really isn't enough time to do anything there other than pop into 1 or 2 shops and take in the view of the Bay, which is what we did. We opted to head back into SF via the bus, and as we were a small group, our driver graciously agreed to drop us off at the Ferry Building for lunch instead of back at our hotel. Great way to spend a morning in SF.

“Small van great guide!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2013

We took the afternoon tour . I think this was the only way to get an overview of San Francisco . We wanted a small van, so this was perfect . Our guide was very knowledgeable . It was three hours and we really saw a lot . Enjoy

“Great value”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

My boyfriend and I booked this trip through reviews on TA and recommendations from the hotel concierge at both the grand Hyatt and the Westin St Francis. We loved this trip. for $115 or so per person you get to visit 2 wineries in Sonoma have lunch and then visit the Domaine Chandon champagne house, I highly recommend it. We first went to Viansa which was beautiful, professional, and delicious. It was clean and the view was beautiful. I bought several bottles of wine here and even got some great spreads for crackers etc. then we went down the street to Cline a family run vineyard. While the wine was great and the grounds nice, we both preferred the first winery. We had lunch in downtown Sonoma and it was delicious, no turkey sandwiches here....options ranged from grilled salmon to chicken sandwich w/ fries etc. we were very surprised with lunch as the seemed far greater than what we paid. Then off to Chandon......beautiful grounds and yummy bubbly. Very educational as well. Overall each winery offered about 5-6 drinks each for tasting. Again a great value. Tours are all under 13 people eat so plenty of room on the bus and each tour felt more personable. The last tour meets up with other tours from the same company so there are about 30 people for Chandon. Bus transportation provided and our tour guide Peter was very knowledgeable. This was one of our favorite parts of the trip.
