“A life time of beer tasting”
Reviewed December 30, 2013

A very distinctive place -- with a 100's of varieties of beer on the menu and an intimate eating/drinking lounge downstairs -- just like I've experienced in Belgium. The bartender knows beer!

“We love this place!”
Reviewed November 20, 2013

Having taken the trolley to Union Square, whilst on the way back to our hotel, we stopped in and came down the stairs. From the beginning, we enjoyed this treat. We had Westmalle and Rochefort 10 along with a cheese board, which was so delicious and fries served with catsup or wasabi mayo.. YUM! We found this tucked away place charming and we will return when in the Bay area.

“What a selection!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

They have so many delicious Belgian beers to choose from (Blanche de Namur....yummy), our waiter could hardly memorize them all! Nice cozy atmosphere, not too loud, but it's a little hot in the basement! Our waiter Sean was very friendly and took the time to chat with us since it wasn't too busy. He made us feel welcome and gave us some ideas for places to go in San Francisco. We'll definitely go back!

“Decent beer bar/ gastropub”
Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

A nice place with plenty of selections of both Belgian food and beer. Prices were moderately high but expected for San Francisco. Service was slow in that it took a long time to cook the food but the waiters were up front about it and friendly.

Go to the basement. Amazing beer and bar food experience. The beer menu is extensive and tasty. Recommend the "Wallovian Hot Dog".
