Description: Taste some of the most typical dishes from Lucca that you can only find in Italian houses. Our pizza has become extremely popular in the past five years for its uniqueness, with a style so diverse from other pizzas around the city that you simply must try it if you consider yourself a pizza connoisseur. If you are looking for an authentic culinary Italian experience, you found just the right place. Baonecci offers you delicious and traditional entrees from a Tuscan menu and thin-cracker, mouth-watering pizzas, each one hand rolled for you by Mamma Stefania. Baonecci offers handmade pastas made fresh everyday topped with Stefania's amazing sauces. Everything is made from scratch here. You'll be amazed by the freshness and quality of each plate and you'll be comforted by the friendly Gambaccini family who will make your experience even more "Italiana"!! We know... Our fare is not inexpensive, due to high quality ingredients used for each dish, plus for the love of an Italian woman that puts her heart in every dish that she cooks for you.. As we say in Italian " non si puo avere la botte piena e la moglie ubriaca" "you can't have both a full caraffe of wine and a drunken wife" Buon Appetito!

“Gem of a place with great pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2012

This was the second time we had been here, and it did not disappoint. Great, great thin crust pizza with excellent ingredients. Love, love the caprese salad. Wonderful (and beautiful Italian man service). We prefer it over the main drag of Italian places in North Beach. Wouldn't hesitate to make time for it any time we were able to get to SF.

Yummy Pizza! Best pizza crust I've ever had. Charming neighborhood. Stumbled across it while walking in North Beach. Wonderful service. Sit outside!

“Excellent Family Run Itialian Restaurant in North Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2012

Our experience here was like eating in a family kitchen in Italy. Great thin crust pizza, wonderful atmosphere, delicious homemade Italian cookies and coffee. The menu is simple but everything is good. The mother of the family that owns it is the chef...great home cooked Italian meal! It is small and was very busy the night we were there but we got a table after 10 min wait.

“Good but $$”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012 via mobile

I would have never stopped if it wasn't for Trip Advisor. Not a big place, not on a busy street, lots of peoples stop with their books or phone in their hands. Many turn back. Food and service is delicious. A bit expensive. I felt like going to Mc... after. I had a whole pizza and it wasn't enough.

“The best place in North Beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 21, 2012

I went in this place 2 times, is a perfect place to eat a real Italian pizza or other simple meals. The ambient is not sophisticated, very friendly and really authentic. Walter and his family will give you a wonderful Italian experience!
