“Beautiful ice cream and lovely people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

Completely delicious ice creams at Norman's with friendly, family service, beside the Argonaut Hotel which is a great hotel. The Argonaut Doorman took us down to Normans when we asked for great ice creams at 11pm!! Would highly recommend the coconut flavour, we had to go back the next day for a second helping, it was sooooo good!!

“Not quite as good as I thought it'd be”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013

As a keen TripAdvisor checker, I was expecting big things at Norman's. It is surrounded by ice cream places, with a Ben & Jerry's around one corner and a Cold Stone around the other.

The sundae was good; the fudge sauce excellent, but it was simply that - good. I've had better ice cream in England. That's not to say it was bad, just that it wasn't out of the ordinary.

“Lots of interesting flavors”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2012

The ice cream was good but on the expensive side - $13 for 2 shakes. They have a lot of interesting flavors leaning more toward fruit, which made me happy since I'm allergic to chocolate. I tried the Coldstone down the street and the shakes at Norman's were better.

“AMAZING ICE CREAM- EVEN BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

The best ice cream I have ever tasted by far! Having visited Normans near the beginning of our holiday, the great tasting ice cream and top quality customer service has made us make 4 return visits in 8 days :)
The owners of this small shop are quite possibly the nicest owners I have ever met; offering free tasters and extra scoops for loyal customers. The lady Priscilla was so nice, she remembered us everyday and was genuinely interested in what we had done that day; and when we asked if it was ok to take a photo of 'our favourite shop' she invited us behind the counter and took the photo for us posing with the cash register!
The ice cream itself is beyond tasty- soo creamy and full of flavour, with quality ingredients and good portions. We had Oreo, mint choc chip, cookie dough, caramel praline and coconut and loved every single one of them. (And plan to try more on our last visit before we head back to the UK)
You need to visit this place- located at Fishermans Wharf, slightly off the main road but 100% worth finding- in a courtyard area by las margaritas and the argonaut hotel.

“Wonderful people, Wonderful ice cream!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

We had a friend recommend this place when she visited SF this past summer, and I am so glad we did. It is a husband and wife place, with local ice cream and hand made fudge sauce with pieces of Belgian chocolate in it. VERY reasonable price, no lines and some nice chairs to sit in and just watch the people go by. Nestled at the one end of the Cannery next to the Argonaut Hotel, this place was truly a gem. We went there several times as an alternative to the expensive chocolate place down the street. HIGHLY recommend this nice, friendly little place!
