Located on the sixth floor of the Macy's in union square is a place that is a must for tourist. The sign states that they only have three of these one being in SFO. The bar is kinda small but has a great view overlooking the square. Service is great and the prices are about what you would expect. I tried the hangover burger and it was great about $14 dollars and came with steak fry. They have other more expensive offers but I decided to take a chance with a cheaper burger but there was nothing cheap about it. Do yourself a favor and skip the Cheesecake Factory on the 7th floor and go to the Burger Bar.

We went here a couple of times and each time the burgers were delicious. I would highly recommend the Hubert Keller burger - caramelised onions, cheese and a jug of beef jus! Perfect! The quality of service varies, and they need to teach the waiting staff how to use the coffee machine. We were server 2 glasses of pale milky liquid but not asked to pay when we returned it. There's usually a wait at peak times.

My friends took me to the Burger Bar for drinks before we went elsewhere for dinner. The Burger Bar is located on one of the upper floors of Macy’s at Union Square. The place has a restaurant and bar. We headed to the bar for a seat and beverage. We each had a beer from the tap ($7-$8 each) and had a nice conversation in the comfortable area of the bar.

Too bad during our visit, there was a large banner for Macy’s hanging down the building obstructing most of the view from the bar. I had to go to the dining area to get a good view of the Union Square area. The beers were good and the staff was friendly. It was a quick visit, but a nice one.

We were looking for something quick in Union Square San Francisco, and the Burger Bar, on the 5th floor of Macy's, right on Union Square, filled the bill. Their burgers and fries are excellent. They had some trouble with the beer on tap, but otherwise, it was a fantastic lunch. I'd give it a 4.5/5.

Recommended this place by the concierge at our hotel and was not disappointed. Promptly seated beside the window and had a fantastic view down over Union Sq, perfect introduction to San Fran on our first night there! Good menu, fast and friendly service and yummy burgers - exactly what we needed after a long haul flight. Was so good we returned later in the week for another, excellent visit.
