Description: The Taylor Street Coffee Shop is a long-standing favorite of San Francisco offering the city fresh, tasty coffee and delicious breakfast food. We love to serve a healthy breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, but also have items such as our breakfast pizza - hash browns under scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and more - that we know will satisfy. We keep the atmosphere casual and relaxed, the service friendly and fast, and the food hot and tasty. What more could you ask for?

Great breakfast on our 2nd time here and so glad I looked it up on trip advisor. Everything was cooked perfectly & I tried the millionaires bacon and it was worth it. Hash brown not greasy or burnt - crisp and delicious. So many choices, I'm going back tomorrow to get through another off the extensive menu!

Tiny, tiny hole in the wall place, but believe the sign that the "line moves quickly." Even though we started out the door, it still only took 15 minutes to be seated. Mostly nothing hugely fancy, but just a really great breakfast. I had the Taylor hash with two eggs and the million dollar bacon. It's more than worth the extra $3 - sweet and very spicy at the same time. Quick but not pressured and good food with excellent bacon.

Right next to my hotel and would have walked by if not for Tripadvisor. Not the cheapest but good food and service in a non descript but comfortable environment. The bacon was a bit crispy but maybe that's how it's done here

There's a reason people line up for this place, and although the line was the length of the counter when we entered, we didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes. As I've mentioned elsewhere, we tried 4 breakfast places all within walking area to Union Square and this was hands down the best. The service was exceptionally friendly and for breakfast fare, the food was excellent. What really stood out about the food was that it wasn't greasy like at most breakfast diners. Although we each ate what we felt was a lot, we didn't feel uncomfortably full or bloated afterwards. We all commented that this is the sort of place that ends up on the TV show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives" except that it doesn't have 1 signature item; everything was good.

Hello Educationtogo,

Thank you for the kind words and we're happy to hear you enjoyed your meal with us. True, we don't have a signature item but our hash browns, or pancakes and our scrambled eggs might be the most talked about. Thanks again and we hope to see you soon.

Thought of this place today on the way to work. It is something when you have visited a cafe once, 4 months ago, and can't get it out of your mind.

Amazing hash browns and friendly service. Also liked that considering there is always a queue we weren't pushed for time when finishing our coffee's.

Just wonder when the London branch will open? (always hopeful)
