“Great Pizza”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

Went for a late lunch and arrived to a half full restaurant, and were greeted and seated promptly.
We had a caprese salad and americano pizza to share- quality, fresh ingredients made for an excellent meal.
Aside from the food, the service was seriously lacking; it's not that anyone was rude, in fact, quite the opposite - they just were not present, which I felt was inexcusable due to the fact that there seemed to be plenty of staff and a fairly empty restaurant.
I would probably dine here again since the food was SOO GOOD!

“They have gluten free pizza”
Reviewed May 5, 2014

It's a cute place and in a nice area. People come in and out as they decide whether they should eat in or take away. I had a gluten free pizza and it was very nice. They treated me as if it were normal to order gluten free food, which was very nice.

“Nice Pizza!”
Reviewed May 3, 2014 via mobile

We visited here in September last year.

We got there at about 6 and there was already a 45 min wait. We went away for a drink and came back but still had to wait - ended up waiting about 1 hour!

Our table was right next to the kitchen and the pizza oven - not the best as people constantly in and out of the kitchen.

Our waitress was very abrupt and not helpful at all with regards to the pizza options and sizes!

We ordered the famous meatballs which were really nice. Them for mains my boyfriend ordered a pizza and I ordered a carbonara. They were both huge, which I wish we had been advised before hand as there was a lot of waste! The carbonara was bland and had no mushrooms, but my boyfriend said the pizza was one of the best he's ever had!

I think the staff were quite rude and with the long wait we were expecting something amazing and were a little disappointed!

“Best pizza ever”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

After our long flight we searched for the restaurant it was a 20min walk but it was definitely worth it. We had to wait for 30 min but didn't regret the wait because the pizza was the best I've ever had even better than the pizza I ate in Italy. If we return to San Francisco this place is the first thing we do is go back for a pizza. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Got off a tour bus at Washington Square about 11:30 am on a Sunday and walked right in. Got the best seat in the house (table for 2 at the front window). We shared the green beans, artichokes and a Cal Italia pizza.
Check out the menu for something you like, but if you want a party in your mouth, go with the Cal Italia. By the way, we left at about 1:30 and they were telling people that the wait was now 1 hour.
