This was a very good trip, we got to see Whales and the crew were very knowledgable and enthusiastic. Nice trip out under the Golden Gate Bridge for a added bonus.

I have been on whale watching trips before and hence a compare and contrast gives me two areas where they could make some improvements. Firstly they pack the boat with customers, which while good for their commercials and fine for a normal cruise when people are evenly distributed, is not great for Whale watching when it comes to everybody being on whichever side of the boat you are observing from. They need to take about 60% of the numbers. Secondly, we got about 15 minutes less time than paid for measured from cast off to arrival back at dock, which is no doubt in their small print, but that’s not really the point.

In summary, a good trip and I would go again, but room for improvement.

Great tour, thanks to the previous reviews I was prepared with a sweater and scarf. As we were getting to our location we passed the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge. We saw a few harbor porpoises and some sea lions hanging out on a bouie. We were all on the look out for a spout and sure enough we saw one. They positioned the boat for all of us to get a great view of a beautiful humpback whale feeding on anchovies. We got to see the whole head of the whale come out the water to get a mouth full of anchovies. I got splashed with water on our way back but it was well worth it. The crew on the ship were great and informative.

This was our second trip this year and we actually sailed under the Golden Gate and out into the Pacific. Patience and the skill of the amazing crew rewarded us all with the humbling gift of multiple breaches along with sunfish and birds and porpoises etc.. See you all next year.

First let me say I have family in the city and we decided to do this tour. I have seen all this beautiful city has to offer, and have always loved the beautiful bay! The check in process is fairly easy, but they need better instructions on where to actual catch the Kitty Kat. The boat is a research vessel, and all the crew is very friendly and excellent giving us information on the beautiful animals we are excited to see. They are respectful and knowledgeable of the whales. We did see one and it actually breached to water, exciting! This is definitely worth doing.
