“Beautiful old Cathedrial at the edge of Chinatown”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2012

We visited this Cathedrial while we were visiting Chinatown. It is beautiful. It is worth a stop, even for a few minutes if you are in the area. Its a glimpse into the past of San Francisco.

“What a beautiful old Cathedral with a lot of history.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2011

My husband and I stopped in to look at take a look at this old church on a whim. We were mesmerized by the beauty and history of this old Cathedral that survived the 1906 earthquake and fire. The history is set out for you at the back of the church so you can read about it at your leisure and look at the photographs or you can just sit down and meditate, light a candle for a loved one or pray. If my memory serves me correctly from reading the materials it was, at one time, the tallest structure in San Francisco. We visited several other arguably larger, more "ornate" churches while in San Francisco, but this one stuck with us more. Just beautiful. Humbling. Definiitely worth a look.

“Historic Catholic Church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2009

This church is located within Chinatown. We attended mass there last week. The priest was friendly and welcoming to visitors. The church is very old and survived the 1906 quake. The history can be seen in a display in back of the church.
