The tour was excellent - only $3 even if you are paying for it. The lady on the desk showed us around and spent ages taking us through the history which was really interesting. There are some interactive bits for kids as well. You can watch them making the dough through an observation screen. Its not a big tour/display but worth doing especially for just $3. We both had a small clam chowder afterwards (delicious!) and this entitled us to our money back for the tour!

This is always a must stop for us when we are in San Francisco. We love the sourdough bread and always get some while we are there and some to take home. The chowder in a bread bowl is our personal favorite.

My lovely husband and I ate here twice. Once in the restaurant upstairs and once in the cafe downstairs. The food was good both times. Chowder in a sourdough, excellent and a drink each came to about 50 dollars, plus tip, upstairs in the restaurant. Chilli in a sourdough each, excellent, no drink, came to 18 dollars total in the cafe downstairs. Unless it is a special meal, eat in the cafe. Recommended.

Was waiting on one of the sightcity seeing tours so decided to try this place for a bit of breakfast. Got egg and bacon. The bacon was dry and hard. The toast was also not very fresh and cold. Would avoid if possible.

Anything you try, is delicious! We stayed close to Fisherman's Wharf, and we made many trips here. We had breakfast there a couple of times, as well as lunch. I recommend it!
