The museum itself is a work of art and it's located right next to the bay. This is a very popular place to get married; visiting on a clear sunny day one can understand why since it's hard to imagine a more beautiful setting in a major city. Aside from the building there is a lawn nearby where one can relax and take in breath taking views of the SF bay.

The exhibits at the museum feature a lot of very interesting works by Rodin and Rembrandt; I take particular note of these as I am fans of both of those artists. They have an extensive collection of works from other artists as well so there is more to see.

This my favorite museum in San Francisco; it just narrowly beats the Asian Art Museum, mostly because the building and the setting are so much more pleasant.

The show was beyond belief! The staff at the Legion of Honor are excellent! The Intimate Impressionist Art was fantastic! (on loan from Washington DC) The gallery has a wonderful exhibit of Rodin & Camille which is there always. It is in a beautiful setting overlooking the Bay, with a beautiful park to wander around, have a picnic or if you like a golf course, close by. This museum is one of my favorites on the West Coast. Enjoy!...treasures await you!

I love this structure. It is a beautiful building. The setting is on top of a hill with a view of the Pacific.

A beautiful and very classy museum. Its location is great, with beautiful surroundings. The still existing impressionist exhibition is wonderful, but also all its collections. Even the cafe is cosy and classy. We all loved the experience.

They have a large number of Rodins in the collection. When we were there there was an excellent Matisse show. It is a long walk from the road, but there is a bus that goes there. Just check the bus routes.
