Owner description: Since its' founding in 1995 Biscuits and Blues has made a home in the heart of San Francisco and has served hot biscuits and cool blues ever since. The venue is lucky to have some of the best Blues musicians in the world right here in the city, and has been honored time and time again as the Bay Area's #1 Blues club. For 20 years Biscuits and Blues has earned the respect of the Blues community and has been named America's #1 Blues nightclub by both the Blues Foundation and by the Bay Area Blues Society. Six nights a week Biscuits and Blues works to keep the blues alive with two shows a night. If it's Blues, they approve: Delta, Chicago, Texas, Boogie-woogie, Gospel, Old-time, Jazz, Brass and Soul. On any given night you'll find ribs on the grill, New Orleans-style Gumbo in the pot, and Creole Jambalaya hot off the pan. Biscuits and Blues also serves California wines, local microbrews and their signature selection of specialty cocktails from their full service bar.

Listened to a great jazz/blues band, but they only played for 1 hour (since they had another show at 10pm). The food was ok but quite expensive, and the beer was pretty weak (typical US draft beer?). I would recommend this place for the music and would probably return, but wouldn't eat there again

Cover charge of $20 per person was a rip off for what you get. Front counter person told us the place was busy (a lie) and to buy our tickets quick. Once downstairs we discovered a bar 90% empty and never passed 50% occupancy during the entire show. We ordered food which arrived so fast and cold it couldn't possibly have been cooked fresh. The service would have been non existent if it were not for the two drink minimum. To top it all off you get handed a card suggesting how much you should tip. On the plus side, the music was good. I just can't imagine anybody other then tourist and duped locals going to this place.

The ambiance at B&B felt rather like a speak easy, a cozy underground getaway. They had Karen Lovely performing, which was a phenomenal blues experience. Though the chicken Caesar salad was mediocre, the soup, greens & sweet potato fries were good.

Visited B&B last month and totally dug the set up - dimly lit intimate nightclub.
They always offer a great line up for those looking for great live music.

A great blues venue with an excellent mix of talented musicians. Dinner hit the spot, and the bread pudding made me feel like I was back in New Orleans again.
If you have an evening to spare and are searching for good sounds and good food, this place is well worth considering!!
