Service was definitely on point.
I dined here with my girlfriend and we ordered:
Harris Ceasar Salad : The Anchovies in the dressing was just right and not salty
Crab cakes: Delicious dungenous crab meat mixed but found the addition of red bell peppers was over powering and the flavor of the crab was lost.
2x bone in Ribeyes: Cooked rare with a side of garden vegetables and choice of baked or scalloped potatoes. Both were delicious. Definitely what you would expect from dry aged steaks.

We passed on dessert and had 2 rounds of their Eagle Rare Manhattans. It was smooth.

You're given a cheese spread at the beginning of your meal and offer fresh artisan bread rolls throughout your meal.

Overall with Tax and 20% tip you're looking at $250

venue/decor like many steakhouses is traditional in nature and pretty dated. service is formal but excellent, steaks were good without being exceptional though dessert was very good - especially the butterscotch cheesecake - which was to die for.

quite expensive, but worth a visit

The concierge of our hotel recommended this place. It was a truly enjoyable experience. The service was perfect, the wine recommendation reasonable, and oh ! what steaks! My husband went for a ribeye , I had the perfect filet mignon. Steaks came with Idaho potatoes and the traditional trimmings plus vegetables.
The place has a nice traditional feel , we liked the leather booths in an oak paneled dining room. While not cheap, we found we got our money's worth . This is also a good place to take guests to - with perfect food, wine and service.

This is always a great place for good conversation, great drinks, and first class steaks. It has an "Old Time San Francisco" feel.

As noted by other Trip Advisor reviewers, Harris lives up to expectations. The steaks, particularly "49er cut" NY strip steak was cooked perfectly to order. The prices are high but worth it. At least the steaks come with a potato and veg. The service was also excellent. We will return on our next trip to SF.
