“Tour of Muir Woods and Sausalito”
Reviewed July 4, 2013

They take you to the woods which was great, and allow you to walk the grounds to enjoy the redwoods and the scenery. Then they take you to Sausalito, everyone thinking that they will allow time to visit Sausalito and then return to the bus to go back to San Francisco. NO, instead, you either go back to SF, or stay in Sausalito. If you stay, you have to pay your way back the origin of the trip. THIS, THEY DON'T TELL YOU BEFORE HAND! It cost us an extra $45 to get back! So it's actually a trip to the woods....only!!!!!

“Muir Woods 11.00am tour a great option”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

We booked the 11.00am Muir Woods tour the night before as a last minute decision through CityGuide online. We found that most tours left at 9.00am or 2.00pm which wasn't going to work for us so were thrilled to find a 3.5 hour 11.00am tour rugby Tower Tours. It gave us 1 1/2 hours in Muir Woods which was plenty of time and we had the option of being dropped off in Sausalito or being driven back on the coach. Tyrone, our tour guide was terrific and provided a running commentary the whole time whilst in the coach which was both informative and entertaining and really looked after us well.

“Coach trip to Monterey and Carmel”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

Last full day of holiday in San Fran before return to UK. Really good value trip for a full 12hour day. Option to visit aquarium in Monterey, but would have left no time to explore the town, so abandoned that idea. Monterey itself rather disappointing. Obviously did not expect to see Steinbeck's portrayal from another era, but expected rather more charm than we met. However, the overall trip was great. Stunning scenery, and a fascinating day which I thoroughly recommend, with many and varied highlights. Lorry, our driver, was worth the money just to listen to. Very informative and funny. He worked hard for what was a long day for just one man to keep going, and kept us entertained throughout.

“San Francisco Tour”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

Informative tour. A lot of information given. Enough stops. Tour was on a large Gray Hound style bus. Next time I would prefer smaller large van style transportation. With bus it was harder for driver to get all tourist back on bus in timely manner. Tour was good though.

“Good and Bad”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We had one day in SF. We did the city tour in the morning and Alcatraz in the afternoon. City Tour: They could not pick us up at our hotel which turned out to be a good thing. Drive from Airport hotel to wharf wasn't bad at all. Good: Nice new bus. Everything was on time. Bad: They stopped at places we had no interest in ( City Hall, Golden Gate Park - not the bridge). They just drove past places we would have liked to have gotten out at (Lombard St., China Town, Haight Ashbury) We went on a non smoggy day so we went to the top of the twin peaks to get the view which was great and the stop at the GG bridge gave time to walk on the bridge and back. We had time to eat at Pier 9 after we got back and before we had to go get the ferry to Alcatraz. Alcatraz was interesting. After we got back we had time to get our car and drive around a little bit more. Which is why it was good that we drove in. (Since we knew where things were from the tour this made it much easier to find stuff) We drove back to Lombard street and drove down. We ate dinner in little Italy. There was a one hour wait for a cable car so we didn't ride one. All in all we were satisfied - how much can you do in one day? - But I just wish they could tweak the morning city tour a bit.
