“Giant Cheese Grater in the Sky”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

Located in the Financial District on Montgomery Street, standing at 850 feet tall, this 40-year-old building is visible from many parts of the city. Viewed from the street below, its window pattern makes it look like a giant cheese grater. The Pyramid is not open to the public and can only be appreciated from the outside or via a 4-camera virtual observation deck in the lobby. Around the structure’s base are several curious plaques and memorials. A small park beside it on Clay Street offers interesting outdoor perspectives for photographs.

“Cool architecture!”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

Go to the base of this unique skyscraper off of Sansome Street and look up - this is an impressive building! Redwood trees are scattered throughout the plaza. Apparently this is "earthquake-proof" and has been anchored into bedrock.

“Great building to look at”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

The architecture behind this building is so amazing. If you have ever seen this building in a show or in the news and think it look interesting well you need to see it in person! It is great :) If you go up Coit Tower you get great views of Transamerica Pyramid :)
