Ahhh, beautiful, sculpted, peaceful, nature - all in the middle of Golden Gate Park, in the middle of busy San Francisco. What more to say, except drink it in, relax, and commune.

This place is one giant postcard. Everywhere you look is an amazing scene of Japanese lanterns, statues, koi fish and all types of vegetation. Take your time and enjoy this place for it's peacefulness. For anyone checking out Golden Gate park, I highly suggest you take a walk through these gardens.

The Japanese Tea Garden at Golden Gate Park is one of my favorite places to visit in San Francisco. The gardens are absolutely lovely, beautifully manicured, relaxing and tranquil. I love having tea at the tea house on the grounds. It's located in the middle of the garden, which over looks the beauty of the place and a pond with lovely water lilies. The ladies serving tea are always very sweet and kind. Anyone who visits San Francisco should experience this amazing tea garden, you will not be disappointed.

The price of $7 might seem a little steep, but this is actually a very sizeable and expertly maintained japanese garden. Having just been to japan, I was surprised to see that the sensabilities of traditional gardens were present here.

We enjoyed walking through the Japanese Tea Garden. It was tranquil and very relaxing. The koi in the ponds were fun to watch. We even saw some baby turtles!
