Owner description: On June 7, 1974, Steve Silver produced a small show in the back room of the Savoy Tivoli Restaurant in San Francisco. The show was to run for six weeks. That was over 37 years ago... Today, Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon has the distinguished title of "World's Longest Running Musical Revue." The show - a musical spoof known internationally for its extravagant costumes, outrageous hats, show-stopping numbers and hilarious puns of pop culture and political character - has been seen by over 5.5 Million people, including HRC Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall as well as some of Hollywood's biggest stars. "Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon," hailed as "a constant cascade of showstoppers" by the "San Francisco Chronicle", follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her "Prince Charming." Along the way she encounters a star-studded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious political and pop-culture characters including Donald and Melania Trump, Adele, Hillary & Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, President Barack & Michelle Obama, Hamilton, Bernie Sanders, Sia, Taylor Swift, Vladimir Putin, Chris Christie, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Orange is the New Black, Empire’s Cookie, Oprah and the San Francisco Giants

All of us were from Australia and it didn't matter. We were aware of 95% of the content and it was great to both laugh at and with the American audience. A great informal atmosphere and a fun time had by all!!

BBB had been on my bucket list for many years. I finally had an opportunity to see it and am glad I did. The theater (Club Fugazi) is a small open seating type of cabaret theater. I paid for the front section and sat in the front row. If I were to go again I would be happy sitting anywhere, as I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. The show is fluid and the content is full of the current events that reflect all sides of the political spectrum. There is no intermission and the show's 90 minutes fly by. This show is about making you laugh with a political shot at everyone here and there. If you get the chance to see this show, take it, you'll be glad you did.

If you get to go to San Francisco, put Beach Blanket Babylon on your 'must do' list. I had a brilliant evening, and as it's slap in the middle of China Town, so you can have a great meal at a nearby restaurant too.

A very fun and lively evening. It merges musical performance with current affairs in a clever and fun way. Not the most sophisticated but a lot of fun.
The theatre is quite simple with wooden chairs, no creature comforts.
So long as you are in the mood to be entertained you will have a great evening.

We've probably been to this show ten times over the years and it's always a fun event. It's a go to for sure for guests visiting us. Segments of the show change with current events but there's always the old familiar standbys. Minors are only allowed at the afternoon show so if there are kids in the group we go to the performance and then next door to Capps Corner for a home style Italian dinner
