Owner description: On June 7, 1974, Steve Silver produced a small show in the back room of the Savoy Tivoli Restaurant in San Francisco. The show was to run for six weeks. That was over 37 years ago... Today, Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon has the distinguished title of "World's Longest Running Musical Revue." The show - a musical spoof known internationally for its extravagant costumes, outrageous hats, show-stopping numbers and hilarious puns of pop culture and political character - has been seen by over 5.5 Million people, including HRC Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall as well as some of Hollywood's biggest stars. "Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon," hailed as "a constant cascade of showstoppers" by the "San Francisco Chronicle", follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her "Prince Charming." Along the way she encounters a star-studded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious political and pop-culture characters including Donald and Melania Trump, Adele, Hillary & Bill Clinton, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, President Barack & Michelle Obama, Hamilton, Bernie Sanders, Sia, Taylor Swift, Vladimir Putin, Chris Christie, Barbra Streisand, Miley Cyrus, Orange is the New Black, Empire's Cookie, Oprah and the San Francisco Giants

“A must see!”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Every chance we get to go back to San Francisco after having lived in the area for 13 years, we always go to see Beach Blanket Babylon. It is the funniest show on earth. The music is surperb as is the acting. Variations of the show change to keep up with current events. On our recent visit, I noticed reserved seating which they say you cannot get. At the end of the show, it was announced that George Schultz, former Secretary of State, and his wife Nancy were in the audience. He was sitting about five feet from me. I shook his hand and thanked him for his service to our country. How often does one get to meet a former secretary of state? Get a taxi to the show. Parking is awful and difficult to find. Good restaurants in the area. A must see show!

“Bloody brilliant”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

It was very current, i.e. Prince Harry's bottom featured. Barbra S impersonation nearly gave me a heart attack! The costumes and the humour was fantastic and it changed my mind about american humour

“Interesting but dated”
Reviewed October 8, 2012 via mobile

I just had to see this show after hearing about it for years. While entertaining it was a little dated. The songs often were much older but they tried to keep them current by changing the lyrics to match today's news. That at least kept you laughing but barely awake. Overall it is like a number of tourists attractions, you feel you have to do it but should you?

“Great fun”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

The show was amazing. So funny and so well put together. The theatre itself is gorgeous too. Although the seating layout is a little crappy, my husband and I were stuck in a corner and could hardly see anything until the actors were right up at the front of the stage. Was a little frustrating that we had to keep shuffling around to try and see what everyone else was laughing at, besides that though, the show was great and we had a great laugh. My tip would be to book front row and centre seats. No side seating
