Ate at the Slanted Door Friday Night. It was packed. Food was California American/Asian Fusion and it was very good. They have a program where you can pay $53 per person and get a ton of selections all served family style. Made for a great experience.

The place was great. The view was spectacular. The service was superb. The only drawback is that it is extremely loud. Definitely worth going to.

If you are looking for great Vietnamese food in a nice and fun ambiance, and amazing views of the Bay, this is the place to be. Whenever I have friends in town, I always take them there.

I have had lots of delicious, albeit sometimes pungent ethnic Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian food. So I had to try this one at one point. So disappointed. It was like someone turned the volume down to a 2 on a 1-10 knob and turned the price up 4-6 times at this overhyped restaurant. I guess it's good for people who don't really like authentic foreign food but just want to be able to say they had it. Except they're stupid enough to pay $30 instead of $6 for it.

If yoou want authentic Vietnamese, go to San Jose or the East Bay. And keep most of your money in your wallet.

This came highly recommended so we made a point of checking it out while in San Francisco. The food lived up to the hype, the staff was gracious and helpful, and the view of the Bay Bridge, with it's fairly new light installation, was surprisingly lovely. But boy was it loud. Not the ambience I am looking for in a pricey dinner. But there's no doubt that people are literally clam luring to get in, so that is the price you pay for both. Fantastic meal and being trendy!
