We stopped after a lot of walking along the waterfront to rest, enjoy the amazing view, and have a drink with appetizers between meals. Great place and very friendly staff. The wine selection had some good values by the glass, and the beer selection both on draft and by the bottle was great. They automatically bring you these amazing large breadsticks and butter, and we ordered a plate that was a mass of beautifully flavored thinly sliced fried onions. Outstanding experience, and even got a perfect recommendation for brunch the next day.

Perry's serves as the de facto in-house restaurant for the two hotels it abuts. Friendly folks. DInner was nothing special - salty pasta that had been under the heat lamp awhile. Breakfast (which you'll experience if you are staying at the Harbor Court or the Griffon is better - nice oatmeal, eggs and mushrooms presented as the "Monterey Skillet." Expect to shell out $30-40 for breakfast for two, though. While I wouldn't avoid the place, there are certainly better options in the food mecca that is San Francisco.

We went to Perry's after suffering a depressing loss at a late, cold, Giants game that went extra innings, and left the restaurant later that night feeling great. First of all, Perry's was one of the few restaurants open late near our hotel, so we were not expecting much for service, but we were pleasantly surprised. Despite a recent review we read, we did not feel rushed, nor did we feel hurried, even though it was pretty late when we got there and it looked like they might have been getting ready to close. Our service was fantastic -- from the hostess seating us right away to the waiter special ordering one of our drinks from the bar. Additionally, the atmosphere felt like that old San Francisco neighborhood hangout of a few decades ago, when there were fewer chain restaurants and fast food takeouts. The food was very tasty, and we appreciated the choices on the menu considering the hour. When we approached the restaurant, we were cold and hungry; when we left we were warm, satisfied, and felt a sense of connection with the staff this charming restaurant.

Our dinner was spoiled by very inattentive service. We had to keep on asking for drinks and food!. We complained about the service and got two free desserts! However as we were a party of seven( for my wife's birthday on december 29th.) the restaurant added 20% directly to the bill for service.

Good bar scene, great cocktails, and I had a tasty roasted beet salad. Great mix: couples, family get togethers and after work crowd.
