Upon arrival you get a sense of welcome and delivery with service. While the service was good with some exception the food was nothing special. I was recommended the Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The gravy was bland and the chicken was a bit salty however the collard greens were done perfect. The martinis are excellent and the ambience good. I would go back again. Don’t forget to order your bread otherwise you won’t get any..

If you are visiting San Francisco come to the neighborhoods and enjoy the excellent food offered in every corner of this great City. Eureka is a prime example of consistently great food, friendly service, a nice glass of wine or a cocktail. Whether you like seafood perfectly prepared, the fried chicken which is crisp with a little kick in the gravy or the ravioli if you prefer vegetarian you can't go wrong. The watermelon salad was refreshing. Try to reserve one of the 2 2 top window seats and enjoy the happenings in this friendly and welcoming neighborhood. Is this one of the best meals you've ever had in a restaurant? isn't a fair question for any restaurant. My Mother would be very upset if it wasn't served by her.

This is another favorite in the heart of Castro. The food is very good and it reminds me of home cooking but kicked up a couple notches. The fried chicken is amazing as is the pot roast. Great energy!

This seems to be a popular spot in the Castro. The restaurant has been here for years and reservation are needed. They specialize in Southern Comfort Food. I had the fried chicken and my partner had pot roast. Both were well prepared with generous portions.

The highlights are the superior service and their drink list. The only drawback is the size of the room. Expect to get personal with other diners.

Tried this place with a Groupon and it was ace and went back again. In the heart of the Castro with a mixed crowd. Low key environment, relaxed and easy on the eye. Quietly classy rather than silver service classy. Was looked after by Bill who made sure both times we were well fed and watered. Food was really tasty (and different) and the pilsner for me was great and my mate liked the Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. This place ticked all our boxes so gave it 5/5. Will seek out next time I'm in town. Very much a place for close friends and the special someone rather than a sports bar kinda place.
