Description: Biscuits and Blues expertly pairs world class blues music with award-winning southern style cuisine, to customers of all ages where everyone has a front row seat to the show. The venue is lucky to have some of the best Blues musicians in the world right here in the city, and has been honored time and time again as the Bay Area's #1 Blues club. On any given night you'll find ribs on the grill, New Orleans-style Gumbo in the pot, and Creole Jambalaya hot off the pan. Biscuits and Blues also serves California wines, local microbrews and their signature selection of specialty cocktails from their full service bar. Six nights a week Biscuits and Blues works to keep the blues alive with two shows a night. If it's Blues, they approve: Delta, Chicago, Texas, Boogie-woogie, Gospel, Old-time, Jazz, Brass and Soul. For 20 years Biscuits and Blues has earned the respect of the Blues community and has been named America's #1 Blues nightclub by both the Blues Foundation and by the Bay Area Blues Society.

Without doubt the worst food I have had anywhere in the world in a reviewed restaurant.
Caesar salad and grilled prawns. Well what could go wrong. Tired cos lettuce 6 pieces in some sort of nondescript sauce and Parmesan with 4 flavourless prawns cooked to extinction. The crab cakes were indescribable.
Wine was fine, service OK jazz entertaining. Just don't order those dishes. Whether the others on offer are any good I do not know and won't try to find out.

Being a foreign visitor in Silicon Valley means work. On this Friday evening, I had a long day in my bones and I was looking to grab a bite while having a bit of entertainment. One of my iPhone apps directed me to 'Biscuits & Blues'. At 8 pm there was no choice anymore, which show to see since the one on the lower floor was sold out. So, I paid 15 bucks and my way to the upper floor where I sat at the bar.
Soon it was obvious that this is not the place to expect five- star ambiente. The furniture has seen better days (unlike the real attractive bar maid), the darkness didn't allow to see if the place was clean or not and the food, well the food was really just average.
But I left the place after a few beers with a big smile. This place is just authentic. The band was just absolutely great. A band of four with father on the accustic guitar and son on the lead. Pure, hones blues and the crowd was cheering to them.
I will be back - some day.

If you like southern New Orleans entertainment & food, you will love this restaurant. It is Blues at it's best with local performers who have been on tour and made CD's
