“Best Mexican we've ever had...”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

We were stuck for somewhere to go in San Francisco so had a look on trip advisor and Tropisueno came up. It was amazing! So fresh, great atmosphere (understandably very busy), and great service, also incredible value! A definite must!

“Three stars only because the ambiance and food were acceptable”
Reviewed September 1, 2013

Ordered a Sol and mojito...the Sol was lukewarm, not crisply cold, so was disappointed in that..the mojito was great. Reasonable prices, but you get what you pay for here. The chicken I had was reminiscent of packaged entrees I've had at On the Border...did NOT seem authentic or "fresh", although it was presented beautifully with the rice and black beans nicely separated on the plate. The tortillas were served wrapped in a warm moist towel, which kept them hot for the 15-20 minutes needed. Overall, I'd come back here again, but only if it was a non-wait, last minute solution...there are better restaurants in the immediate area, and probably, better Mexican restaurants! Waiter was Edgar, and although he was polite, he insisted on clearing the table before taking our check away for payment, a little slow to return.

Note: outdoor seating is only for drinks, no food service outside...

“Great food; terrific service”

Great service despite being very busy. Menu has a good variety. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Only downside was that the restaurant was a bit warm and dark.

“Best Mexican ever.”
Reviewed August 25, 2013 via mobile

Food great
Service great
Value for money great !
The food was tasty and we were made to feel so welcome even though the place was really busy. The chips and dips they give complementary were great and the rice has an amazing taste. Was left wanting more but was totally stuffed. Could improve their dessert menu though as nothing tempted me.

“Mexican food like you want”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

This is NOT TexMex. It is much better. Hugh quantities and great taste. The service was very good even when they were "slammed" with customers about 10 PM on a weekend.
However, at that time, it was extremely noisy.

They were very accomodating and friendly.
