“Why not again”

We are four young people between 25 and 32 and booked there for three nights (820 dollers which was a bargain compared to the rest we found one night before in the internet). Unfortunately, the hotel was overbooked the first night and we had to go to a sister hotel called "Civic centre Motor Inn" which was terrible.

But beside this inconvinience and the fact, that the internet wasn't working all the time it was a great stay. Very close to the pier (walk = 20-30min) as well as to Union Square.

The rooms (4th floor) were very big (we had one for four person) and clean.

Parking is also available and we had no problems to find one. This helps a lot in SF!

Good motel, rooms equipped with first use stuff. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking places are not enough but I found one ) Sleeping well with closed widows, otherwise loud roads. Location is good to see get to any point of a city by walk. Only good memories...

We were really struggling to find affordable accommodation in San Fran, so when we found the Inn we booked straight away through their website, which offers a pre-pay discount @ 150+tax per night.

Once the booking was confirmed and the room paid i had another look at the reviews on google and trip
Advisor, which triggered second thoughts on my mind after reading stories of prostitutes, violence and break-ins. Is this the Crystal Palace from Breaking Bad? I was worried.

But once we arrived everything turned out to be ok. The check in staff was super friendly, they even reserved a parking spot in front of the office for our motorcycles, the rooms were fine and a cab ride to the square is just 10 bucks.

Only real downside was the put wifi which constantly cut out. Rooms were just partially cleaned (there was a used contact lens on the bed side table from a previous guest for the entire duration of our stay, plus the bathroom looked very tired.

But yeah, ok for 150 bucks in San Fran.

Great location but felt $199 per night was very high for the condition and amenities provided. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was included. There a lot of good restaurants in the area. The hotel was easy to find.

Our group of four women just stayed for four nights at the Inn on Broadway. We were a bit hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but gave it a try anyway and are SO happy we did. The room was plenty big enough, the beds were very comfortable and the cleaning staff did a wonderful job. Having a fridge, microwave and coffee maker was perfect.

Our room was third floor, corner of Van Ness and Broadway. Yes, there is traffic noise but it's the city! We even slept with our window open so we could hear the sounds of the city. Location was great for us, right on a major bus line so getting where we wanted to go was very easy. We will definitely stay here again.

I guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and rooms at the Inn on Broadway! While you're first impression of the exterior of the hotel may make you wonder, the insides appear to have been recently renovated and rival any 3-Star+ room in the city. Complete with microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, flat screen TV, and computer work station the King room was a welcome relief after a long day of sight seeing. The bed is large and comfortable and the room temperature control works well. Located almost right in the middle of the city cab fares to the big tourist sites never run more than $10. For a real San Francisco experience take the MUNI for $2 as there are many bus routes right on the corner. Having stayed on the 30th floor of a hotel in Union Square I can tell you that city noise is a face of life in San Francisco and it is as well here. If you really are a light sleeper ask for a room that does NOT face Van Ness street. The noise is by noise means over whelming but can be noticeable.

The front desk staff go out of their way to not only check you in quickly but even pull out a map and give you suggestions on where to go and what to see based on what you say you are looking for. Special thanks to Ryia and Eric for spending time pointing out bars, giving safety tips, and providing outstanding customer service.

If you are going to stay in San Francisco and don't need to be downtown or in Union Square and want to experience a neighborhood feel to your accommodations then I would HIGHLY recommend giving this property a look see and I think you will agree it is well worth the value!

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper ask for a room not facing Van Ness.

After reading some of the reviews, I was expecting a run down motel in a sketchy area. In fact, this motel is located in an ideal neighbourhood for visiting SF if you have a car or are physically able to handle walking the hills in the city. There are numerous bars and restaurants on upscale Polk St a block away and overall the area was very safe. Common sense prevails. Take valuables out of your car etc.

The rooms were clean and basic but not disappointing at all. Others have complained about noise, but the noise was very typical for any big city and not bothersome or unusual. We didn't even notice it. Although, I would recommend a room on the half of the building that is not along Broadway.

The parking is a little tricky as the spots are very small and in some cases awkward to get into, but the staff were accommodating and made sure we had somewhere to park.

Overall: A pleasant enough place to spend a couple of nights. No complaints.

Room Tip: Request a room on the side of the building away from Broadway and Van Ness.
