Owner description: At the northwestern corner of San Francisco, there is a series of stunning views at every turn in this wild and windy trail. Hillsides of cypress and wildflowers, views of shipwrecks and access to the ruins of Sutro baths, a San Francisco specials memory.

“Visitor center is busy, El Camino Del Mar was more tranquil”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

Our GPS accidentally took us to the north side of Lands End, at the end of El Camino Del Mar. We parked and wandered on some trails until we found a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Later we drove to the actual visitor center, and found it more crowded and less peaceful than the part we had accidentally stumbled upon.

“One of my favorite parts of SF”
Reviewed March 30, 2013

We spent several hours hiking the trails and taking photos along the trail. The views are phenomenal and breathtaking. We were perched around the point at sunset and it was so beautiful. Great views of the GGB and is such a nice "get away" from the busy city to stop and take a breath. Highly recommend.

“Great place!”

What a nice park to walk and hike in! My wife and I stopped here before we went to the Cliff House for Sunday brunch and walked some of the trails.

“Nice spot for hiking”
Reviewed March 28, 2013

This is a scenic area that is great for hiking. Not as easy to find great restaurants in the area compared to other parts of the town though.

“Great National Park Service experience”
Reviewed March 26, 2013

The Land's End lookout Visitors Center has a great bookstore, coffee shop, restrooms, and at least on the weekday we were there, plenty of parking. The hike along the coastal trail offers great views of the ocean, the MArin Headlands, and bridge; we took a side path to the beach too. It's a hike, not a city stroll. I could have dressed warmer, and gloves would have been nice. Other close-by stuff includes Cliff House, Legion of Honor, ruins of Sutro's house, bath ruins, camera obscura; the Lookout offers a great place to park, take a walk, and/or visit all these places. And don't miss the USS San Francisco memorial and its story--a worthy visit in itself.
