“It's changed!”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

Went to the Metreon many years ago and there was an amazing virtual bowling alley. It is now a Target. If you want to go to the movies in San Francisco it's the place to go, but not much else interesting there

“Decent food court! Beautiful grounds out back!”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

Conveniently located next to the Moscone Center buildings, this place was great center to get food from fast food.

Loved the Korean soup noodle place. My son loved it too for their dumplings.

The grounds out back were enjoyable with lots of grass, young trees and nice water feature.

It's bright, modern, safe and busy at lunchtime!

This place has tons of food options at great prices. There are also movies and a target - what more do you need?

“Worth going just for the movie theater!”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

This was my second visit from out of town (my first was a couple years ago). I never cease to be amazed at how gargantuan the cinemaplex is. I went to see a movie after having dinner, and was floored at just how large the individual screens are, compared to most across America. It was a regular theater (not IMAX), yet I'd guess it seated as many as 1,000 patrons. That's just one screen. HUGE. As well, the digital picture and sound were pristine. Highly recommended!

I concur with the others who say that the food offerings and general ambiance of the rest of the Metreon was better before the recent makeover. Personally, I love the food there now (I got Korean and Thai), but it's not nearly as diverse overall as I remembered. There's three or so Asian places, and at least one general American place (sandwiches/burgers)

For a quick bite and a flick, I don't think I went wrong. It's worth visiting just for the movies, if you've never been.

“Awesomeness turned into cookie cutter bland”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

When Sony created this place as a showcase of the digital life, it was truly an attraction. It had a Discovery Store, all sorts of cool digital experiences, and an Imax.
Now that it is yet another Westfield mall, it is just yet another mall. Other than the IMAX, there really is no reason to go here.
Starbucks, Target, food court, movie theater: YAWN, exactly what every strip mall in every town in the US has.
I guess, for the people who live around here, it's great, but as a destination, it's a waste of time.
