Worth a visit if only to walk the labyrinth. It is at the top of a very hilly street but take the cable car up California Street to make it easy on yourself. Beautiful view of lower SF from here.

Great church with a legacy with the european church.
Don't miss the chapel on the right: a special place where the major faiths live together. Try the labyrinth.

Grace Cathedral is a small concrete maquette of Paris' Notre Dame, though you might not recognize it. There are immaculatly re-cast doors from the Duomo in Florence, and a perfect replica of Chartes' labrynth. Walking the course of the labrynth in contemplation is much more challenging than you might guess.

A beautiful church with doors called "The Doors of Paradise" which tell the story of the Old and New Testaments. Take a walk and check it out after a drink at the top of the Mark Hopkins Hotel.

Catch the cable car up from Embarcadero Station - great ride up the steepest of hills. Grace cathedral is perched near the top and counts as old by US standards. Great views. Loved the outdoor labyrinth and chinese ladies doing Tai Chi in the courtyard. Peaceful atmosphere and small cafe for a coffee whilst you are there.
