Position, position, position.
Three words to describe this great, old hotel.
The service was excellent as was the advice from the staff.
Being right on Union Square and with transport options galore, this place has got it.
Plenty of great restaurants in the area meant not having to go too far to find a meal.
The shopping was first class and even my wife found it daunting trying to see all of the shopping in such a short time.
On our last night in San Francisco we went to see the San Francisco Giants take on the San Diego Padres in a very long Baseball game, it finished at 11.45pm. Transport was no problem as we simply walked out of the AT&T Park and straight onto a train back to the Powell Street Station. With only a leisurely 5 minute walk back up the street to our hotel, we were in bed in no time.
We stayed three nights, but I wish we had stayed longer. As Tony Bennet sang, "I left my heart, in San Francisco".
