“Desserts to save space for”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013 via mobile

A friend and I went to dinner recently at this small, busy Mission area restaurant. We had reservations and were seated promptly which is nice as there is no spade inside to wait. The truffle fries were delicious and fresh which was a nice way to start. His burger and my pasta were filling entries but we had room for dessert which was a good thing because they were amazing. I do not usually finish with sweet but the chocolate pecan pie and the chocolate banana cream pie are so good. We had both and demolished them. It is a great treat and we will be going back soon.

“Worth the wait!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

My husband and I went to MBC on a Sunday morning in January and waited for a table for 2 for at least an hour. The weather was unusually beautiful for January, so we really didn't mind waiting on a bench outside. We had a chance to look at the menu before being seated, so we ordered right away. The food didn't take too long to be served, and let me tell you: it was worth the wait! We got a root vegetable/duck confit/egg dish that was delicious, but the brioche french toast with maple-bourbon sauce, strawberries, and mascarpone blew my mind! The service was surprisingly friendly considering the crowd. If you have the time to kill and the weather is nice, I'd recommend MBC for sure!

“Best French toast!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013 via mobile

This place is very tiny and you have to wait a long time to get a table but it is worth it. We waited about an hour but the food was delicious. You have to try the French toast which I heard is only served on weekends. We tried the eggs with crab and avocado and also the eggs Benedict. Both delicious !

“Nice neighborhood spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2013

Really good hamburgers ---- interesting menu, but we didn't have a chance to try the rest of it.

We had dinner reservations --- I'm too old to stand on line for brunch, no matter how good it is.

The pastries are delicious.
