We, my hubby and I, stayed at the Hotel Griffon for three days. The location on the Embarcadero though the entrance is one street over on Steuart Street. Excellent for walking to AT&T Park if you're a baseball fan. I'd say a twenty minute walk. Also a good location for getting around San Francisco, both by foot and by car.
The hotel itself is a boutique, keep this in mind. The room, although a little small, was clean and the bed very comfy. We had a King View room and, although we expected a lot of road noise, this was not the case. The windows are triple glazed and kept out virtually all street noise.
We'd definitely stay here again.
A negative to be aware of: The hotel is in the business district so we found the Starbucks' closed over the weekend as well as some of the breakfast/lunch diners.More
