The staff and the hotel were great! The Redwood Room was very good too, but there should be more help on the floor for drink service. The lady that helped us was very good, but we had to wait too long for service.

Have been staying at the Clift for the last 15 years or so, every January for a conference. It is almost exactly the same today as it was way back then. Which is to say, it is a very solid place to stay in SF, with a great bar in Redwood Room. Facilities could use an uplift perhaps.

Group of us stayed at this hotel - location is great - bar downstairs was fun - breakfast was good - we were told we had a room with a view of the city...which was crap but everything else I did like about the hotel

Love the ubication. Nice hotel. Pretty lobby. Rooms were ok. Very small bathrooms.
People in front desk very helpful. Didn't like the breakfast. Very expensive and service was really poor. $5 for a very little orange juice and $5 for coffee.

Fantastic large quiet room. Great vibe downstairs in lobby and bar area's. Would have given 5 stars but a $23 charge was added to my credit card after I checked out and its hard to get an answer what is was for. We had no extras apart from room and taxes.
