Yeah, but it's got appeal, all clustered together for snacks, souvenirs and food and beverages. I can imagine summer must be wall to wall people, we were happy to catch it in the rain, it was super busy even then! But yeah, you gotta experience it none the less!

Could not believe how trashy this place was, so much garbage on the streets, no where to sit and watch the sights, bad entertainment and so many beggers and homeless people. Expensive restaurants with low quality food. Just cannot see what all the fuss is about, so many better places to enjoy in and around San Francisco

The area by the bay is a good place to kill time provided you can walk well. The view of the two bridges on either side is very pleasant. The light lite bay bridge was a delight to watch. Only rider is that if you are a teetotaler and/or vegetarian not much options there.

This place seems to get more interesting each year. The first time I was here, I was about 14 years old. I have kids that are in their 20s now. Brought them here when they were young and have been here many times. The ambiance is wonderful. The kids always loved it here and so do I. The shops are typical tourist shops but each has its unique items that some of the others do not have. So go in them and look around in detail. Don't assume you saw this or that in the other shop. The shop which is for left handed people is so clever. Yes, for people who are left handed. The Irish shop has the special ring you buy in Ireland. The Magnet store has thousands of different magnets that are a great gift. The key chain store has key chains showing San Francisco in many different ways and varieties. Some spin, flip, open bottles, have electronic messages, show Alcatraz, have initials of your name and so much more. The walls are filled with them and prices are fantastic. Then of course you have the aquarium that is very nice, the tour buses that you can catch for a quick view of San Francisco and the trip to Alcatraz. Then, there is still more. The food. The restaurants. The genuine San Francisco sour dough bread which is a specialty for this area only is a
must have. When you try the restaurants eat in as many as you can share one salad in one the go to another for soup or an appetizer then to another for the main meal and dessert. Truly get the flavores. The meals when shares means you spend less at each place yet try as many places as possible. There are also ice cre area and food carts you can try small bites of food at. In addition, at the end of Fisherman's Warf, just walk for a few minutes and you will see an enormous amount of stores and shops. Many clothing, beauty, electronics, rugs, furniture and more types of stores compacted next to one another. Prices are less expensive as well and you can bargain on the prices. They also can ship your large purchases so you don't have to carry them. This place has it all. Take comfortable shoes. If you go on the tour buses the open buses are a price savings and are a great experience make sure when you are in this town bring warm clothes especially for the bus tours. They take you on the Golden Gate Bridge, and it is cold there. Take jackets and gloves. Dress warm. If you take the
Alcatraz tour You Must Dress Warm. Oh, and if you get a chance, go on the back side, the water side, of Fisherman's Warf. You will see the seals on Pier 39. That is always a favorite view on our trip. Enjoy this place. You will love it.

What a vibe happening here, loved everything about. My hubby and brother-in-law particulary loved the 'Clam Chowder' I guess I'll have to find a recipe now. Got an absolutely great deal on a camera.
