Owner description: Wine Country Tour Shuttle, with its Super High 94% TripAdvisor Rating Score operates from San Francisco to either Napa or Sonoma. We encourage wine lovers to go on both our Wine Country Tours because the different wine regions are so uniquely different. Our Napa Experience Tour visits 4 wineries and has a picnic lunch and a 50-minute relaxing ferry cruise included. See the reviews below to see how well the picnic lunch and the ferry cruise is so well received. The Sonoma Experience Tour (local favorite tour) is new for us and has great reviews below because we picked 2 fantastic wineries, plus we put together a walking map of Sonoma square where guests can get one free pour at each location. Wine Country Tour Shuttle received the 2013 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very willing to tell us if there were things that she did not know. I would recommend this tour to anyone and I would like to specifically applaud our excellent guide.

We had the best tour today of wine country. It felt like a full sightseeing tour of a good portion of San Fran all the way up to Napa. Our guide Philip was great! We stayed just long enough and enjoyed an awesome lunch at the V. Sattui.

This was a good way to visit wine country without a car? One of the nicest things about this tour was we were picked up at our hotel and brought back in the evening! Each winery was different and offered us the opportunity to purchase the wine if we wanted. The trip to wine country is worth the cost of the ticket. Nice trip! Beautiful country!

Our first day in San Fransisco started with the Mondavi tour to Napa Valley with stops at Andretti, Folie a Deux and Fransiscan. I didn't expect our guide, Ken, to be giving us such an in depth dissertation on the history of San Fransisco as we traveled the inner city on our way to Napa. If Ken isn't a member of the historical society, he should be, and his knowledge as we were to learn, put all other tour guides to shame as our week unfolded. Ken put us at ease with one another as we shared our hometown backrounds during our stop at the Golden Gate Bridge for a picture opt. All the way to Napa, Ken gave us an education of a lifetime answering the questions of why some vines are closer to the ground than others. Why some rows grow east to west and others north to south. The differences between T, V, I trellises and how all of that affects the grape. As it turns out it was Ken's first day back after a three month leave and as we pulled into the various establishments Ken was always greeted with smiles and respect from the locals. My wife prefers Mondavi as our everyday wine when home in Vermont. It is a very professionally run winery and the in house tour guide was exeptionally knowledgable and congenial. His respect for Mrs. Mondavi (his words) was refreshing as he pointed out the statues and art work that surrounded us. He then brought us to the inner sactum of wine making where we layed eyes on the wine grape presses and the huge French oak barrels used in the fermentation process. We were then led downstairs to a sea of countless aged wine barrels indicative of the thousands of terracota warriors in the Mausoleum of the first Qin Emperor of China. As we asked our questions while enjoying our sample of two whites and like reds, Ken was always there to add a poinient comment and share stories from his life experience. He has a fascinating past and is always ready to listen and enjoy your company. The group then enjoyed a quiet lunch of fresh cold cuts and salads at Andretti. Afterwards Ken brought us into the field of vines and showed us first hand his love for the vineyards. The third stop was Folie a Deux which is another small but relaxing venue. The group finallly ended up at Fransiscan which had an elaborate fountain and a beatifully flowered courtyard. The wine tasting was given in "the library" which was rich in wood molding details and in the middle of the room sat a gigantic one piece table made from a fallen Red Wood. It was a great wine tasting experience that I would recommend. An unexpected bonus was getting Ken's suggestions for alternative things to see and places to dine. It proved valuable to maximize our experience of the City on a Hill. Ken is to Wine Country Tours as The Golden Gate Bridge is to San Fransisco. Thank you for a wonderful day!

Had a free day in San Fran and choose to do a tour. What a great day. Phil was great and we had a real experience. "Loved" the chance to try the Pinot's at Andretti's in the different forms. The trip gave a great introduction to Napa
