Superb burgers, freshly made, a little on the pricy side and the fries are only OK but definitely the best burger I've eaten in some time.

Great food for a burger chain. Pretty fast service, and great choices. I like the avocado cheese burger and the fries or onion rings are satisfying. Locations in San Francisco include:

or In the East Bay at 2 locations:
BERKELEY 2237 Shattuck Avenue 510.649.1700 or in ALAMEDA 2319 Central Avenue 510.865.3032.

I am not usually one for burgers but this place was awesome. Delicious burgers, highly recommended them.

Was open very late so perfect for a late dinner after drinks.

Love a good burger or chicken sand and till around 5 years ago would eat here about once a week. Still a cute little place. Like the quality charbroilers, hot doggies, grilled sandwiches, many available extras, and nice variety of tableside condiments. The fries that come with are still simply excellent. Add the dull chili or substitute so-so salad/slaw if you must but, well, yawn. Haven't tried an entre salad and wouldn't blame you either.

Weekday's non-inclusive non-burger daily special and $3 beer happy hour (5 microbrews on tap) are cool, I guess. There's a kid's menu too. However, if you're post-pubescent it's kind of hard to leave satisfied without spending at least 12 bucks for a decent size meal and beverage. That's fine for my now very occasional BurgerMeister fix. $7.50 for a plain 1/3 lb burger by itself? Love a good burger...love a good value more.

My hubby loves his burgers. Wherever we travel, he seeks out the best burger joints. He loved this place & went out of his way to eat here 3 times (it was conveniently located by our B&B in Castro).
