I woke up very early to take a taxi down to the wharf before it became the hustle and bustle of tourists. It was quiet, one lone boat on the bay passing by. I'm watching the deliveries arriving to the many shops on Pier 39. This young man was taking a banana break staring out over the water at Alcatraz island, perhaps being grateful for his life that moment. For me, I'm gratefully thanking God for my many blessings and for that precise moment being able to see the bay again.
