If you're in San Francisco, going to Lombard street is definitely a tourist attraction. Very congested, bumper to bumper, however. It would be an experience to drive down the winding road but walking it is probably easier and less time consuming. Fun experience!

Walked up the 4, yes FOUR hills from the bay to Lombard Street- didn’t realise this takes you to the top of the street so you can’t actually see anything!! Then walked down the stairs to the bottom of the street and it was a bit ‘meh’. No pretty bushes like on the pictures you see. Very short road. Not all that interesting really.

This is one of the most photographed streets in San Francisco!
Check out how understated it looked in the 50’s movie with Kim Novak and Jimmy Stewart! The house still stands today!
Have someone photo from the top, the middle or the exit at the bottom of Lombard; better yet, video from a convertible!

When in the area, you must check this out and drive down it. Seems to be packed all the time but still don't have to wait long. Then pull over somewhere and walk around since its only a street but in bloom, its pretty sweet.
