“A good kind of crookedness”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2014

For those few who may not know, this is apparently the crookedest street in the world (that's what the sign said, anyway). My advice is to start at the top (you can get there by the Powell-Hyde cable car if walking too much is a problem) and then walk down, in this way being able to admire the wonderful views of SF plus the beautiful houses and flowers that line the street. When you get to the bottom, turn round and watch the courageous drivers slowly making their way down and get a view of the crooked road from the bottom. I really liked it and, if it IS a tourist trap as people keep saying, then at least it's free which is unlike most tourist traps :-)

“Cool but not as cool as I expected”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2014

I was a little underwhelmed but I am glad that I went. Walking down, yes down the steps to the side of the street was quite a workout I must say. There are great views from the top and bottom of the street, and it does look pretty cool when you are standing at the foot of the street. We only walked, didn't drive down it. It's a tourist trap, but I feel like you have to quickly see it while you are in town!

“Go home Lombard street, you're drunk.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014 via mobile

Looks great from Coit tower and is entertaining up close for all of about 15 seconds. Tick it off the list.

Good stop off the tram when making your way down to pier 39 (which is a giant tourist trap)

“Hard walk, but beautiful”

Be in shape for this walk! It's steep, but absolutely gorgeous. There are flowers in full bloom everywhere. It's quaint and unusual.

“Picture Perfect”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2014

- although I would not want to live on this street (even if I could afford to). Crawling with pedestrians (myself included!) and cars having patiently waited for an opportunity to drive down this world famous 'curly street.' You must absolutely go see it, the views down the other side are wonderful too.
