“Beautiful”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 27, 2013

The botanical garden is in Golden Gate Park, and we paid $7 to get in. It is large enough to spend several hours there, which could be spent walking around, or relaxing. There was plenty of open space to have a picnic. I did not see a guided tour booklet, and the signs only listed the name of the plant you were looking at, so there wasn't a lot of context, but it was beautiful nonetheless. Occasionally you'll hear an airplane or see some cell phone towers on a nearby hill, but otherwise, you can't even tell you're in a big city. The entrance is right near the edge of Golden Gate Park, so it is very convenient to get to. We had no problem taking public transportation there.

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013 via mobile

I went there early in the morning and didn't have to pay... Good surprise.
The gardens are great. Lots of variety! I particularly like the ancient plants section, very instructive. I wish there would have been more details like that in some other parts. I highly recommend it, jut awesome.

“Beautifull Botanical Garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 27, 2013

Very well structured and great segmentation of areas of tipical vegetation. The place has beautifull scneneries and is very cozy. Definetelly worth the visit in a sunny day (we went in a very cloudy day).

“take a Victorian nature break”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

This is a small Victorian white metal greenhouse with three rooms of plants. The rooms are overflowing with plants and flowers and it can be very peaceful and quiet. There are tour guides if you want to hear more details but the real enjoyment is the peace of nature. There is a snack shop outside and bathrooms are nearby.
