We have a 10 year old, so there is so much to do here. Walk around, see the water feature, go to the Metreon Theater, cross the bridge to go to the Yerba Buena Center with outdoor playground, bowling and ice skating. Especially since the SF Moma is closed for renovations, this place is nice to have.

I had a couple of strolls round here during the day. It's a good place to sit & have a coffee & sandwich. The waterfall at night is all lite up but it seems to become the night shelter for the vagrants of which there is plenty of in this area after dark.

Last day of November and glorious sunshine not to be missed. We walked to these gardens on Mission, very near to Union Square although you would never know it from the ambience. A truly delightful place to sit and watch the world go past with a number of cafe facilities nearby. A special feature within the gardens is the impressive waterfall structure dedicated to Martin Luther King and quoting a number of facts and speech excerpts related to his life. Many families were enjoying the day and we enjoyed being part of the general happiness.

Fun rink with large glass windows facing the city skyline. Not a whole lot of fancy amenities but has everything you need for some fun on the ice. There's also a small bowling alley right next door and a nice grassy area to sit out when the weather permits.

This is a small park, but worth a visit or to take a break while downtown. There are shops and restaurants adjacent. This is a place where we saw a lot of locals resting in the sun.
