We visited with our extended family, including 5 kids from 6-13. A great break from riding the cable cars. I love a good free museum. And that it's actually where the work of the Cable Car happens. Their 80's video was informative. And I read almost all the placards. We did have some trouble catching the cable car AFTER the museum. They were so full. The girls all rode, and the boys and my husband WALKED to Ghirardelli Square. Not close. It's easier to get on and catch the Powell car up to the museum, than to go FROM Ghirardelli.
