“Great Find on Pier 39”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

I recently visited San Francisco with my family. After a day of sightseeing we wanted to find a place that served seafood. We ended up at Pier 39 and looked at the information board to find a restaurant. This one jumped out at us, although I must admit to being skeptical due to its prominent location in a touristy area. However it turned out to be a great find! We were able to get right in around 6:30 PM on a Friday night and had a table with a great view. The food was very excellent. My wife said her fish and chips were the best she ever had. My daughter enjoyed the trout and my son had a sampler plate that was much to his liking. I am not a seafood fan myself, but I found the chicken with potatoes and spinach to be excellent! Very moist and tasty.

It was the most expensive meal on our vacation, but I think it is the one we enjoyed the most!

“It is NOT a tourist trap but a great restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

Despite being on kitschy-touristy Pier 39, it is actually a great seafood restaurant with a strong selection of superb dishes. Chili shrimps, dungeness crab with spinach and baked oysters are alll excellent, although the grilled seabass was charred a bit. Kids menu is healthy and desserts are also very nice - all this within the typical Frisco price range. Absolutely recommended for families.

“Great food. Super view.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Great service. Food was hot and fresh. We had the fish and chips and shrimp and chips. All excellent. Clearly not frozen. Bread was gorgeous. View was excellent. Not cheap but worth it for a lovely lunch. Would recommend.

“A Must in San Francisco”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2013

Best place for lunch or dinner -- casual, group, or romantic meal. It starts with the bread and doesn't stop there. The bread is so good you just can't stop eating it. And, I'm not a big bread eater. You must get the chowder if you're a chowder lover. I don't care what other restaurants say -- this IS the best chowder in San Francisco!! We highly recommend the Thai Chili Shrimp on the appetizer menu as well as the crab cakes. The Seared Tuna is sushi grade and excellent!! Just go!
