“Best meal we had in SF”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

First of all, my daughter checked in on Four Square when we got to Pier 39 and it told her to go get a coupon book at the information booth. Apparently, you only know about this from Four Square, and she had to show them the app on her phone. It had a lot of great coupons, including 20% off at Fog Harbor! For four people, we saved $25. Everything we ordered was outstanding! The real exceptional dishes were the mixed grill, the garlic butter crab, and a special with halibut and pesto sauce. And don't forget dessert! We got the banana and chocolate bread pudding, and we wanted to lick the plate when it was gone. Really good service, too.

“Very pleasant lunch at Fog Harbor”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2013

After reading so many negative reviews about restaurants at the Fisherman's Wharf, we were a little leery about having lunch there so we walked around to check out the numerous restaurants and menus. Opted to eat here and were warmly greeted and promptly seated at a lovely table overlooking the water. Service staff were friendly and efficient and prices very competitive for nice quality foods and wines. We shared delicious calamari to start; I had the chowder in sourdough bread (it is SF after all!) and my husband had the beer battered fish and chips. Everything was tasty and the service was excellent in this lovely spot. Don't hesitate to try it out!!!

“Nice view and tasty food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 19, 2013

We had a nice view over the bay in this busy, bustling restaurant.

I had tuna - which was really tasty and my wife had a burger which looked good.

We ordered some plain garlic bread to start (it comes with cheese on the menu) - this caused no end of problems. First it came out loaded with chilli - then it came out just buttered bread - and then came out some garlic bread loaded with herbs......in the end we just ate it but neither us or the waiter could figure out why some plain garlic bread was proving such an issue! The waiter and manager were great about it, and we didn't ask, but they wiped it off the bill in the end.

So - if you stick to what's on the menu and don't ask for any tweaks - the food, service and setting of this place makes it worth a visit!

“Perfection!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2013

I enjoyed a perfect meal at this very popular restaurant at Pier 39. Was a little worried that it would be too touristy, but everything was monumental!
Made a very late booking, but was whisked straight to a booth with amazing views of the bay and a perfect sunset!
My waiter was professional and personable and recommended one of the best Cabernet Sauvignons I've ever tasted.
My meal of roasted garlic crab followed by rib eye was perfect!
All I can say is I will be eating most of my meals here whilst I'm in San Francisco!
Just go!

“Recommended, great food and location.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013 via mobile

We were in fisherman's wharf and had lunch here following tripadvisor's ratings... our very helpful waiter told us the special was half lobster stuffed with crab and shrimps. It was simply perfect. All other food we ordered was really good and we liked the amount was enough to fill you up, but not that you could not finish it up. The prices are really reasonable, especially after you try the food. Desserts looked amazing, but we were already full!
Views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate are marvellous and we even got a 15% discount with the acuarium of the bay ticket.
Definitely recommended, cannot fault it!
