“dissapointed, not much there”
Reviewed February 12, 2013

heard so much about ghirardelli square, and there really is not much there. a cup cake store, a couple of shops, and of course 3 or so ghirardelli stores.,and a restaurant. we were done walking thru there in a 1/2 and hour. the park that runs along the square on the wharf is very nice with nice views. if you plan on buying candy at the ghirardelli store, check walgreens first. they have a large selection and much cheaper!

“Ghirardelli chocolate everywhere”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

Too many Ghirardelli chocolate places and not enough variety of shops. Felt like a tourist trap. Bought some Ghiradelli chocolate on the way home at a Target store for much less.

Disappoonting due to the number of empty stores... But the chocolate was delish!! I was expecting a boutique shoppimg experience but only managed to satisfy my sweet tooth.

“Hot Chocolate”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

We go every year to visit our favorite stores. There are at least four stores that we always shop and also we visit the Helpers Bazaar Store which is a gem. We love the lady that runs this charity.

“Where I Left My Heart”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Went to Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco which was a cluster of shops across from the bay and is the launching point of the streetcar ride as well. There were a few shops around a nice courtyard with a lovely mermaid fountain, 50's themed diner and of course the chocolate shop where they are handing out small samples as well as serving meals and of course, chocolate. This is across from the bay and a nice park where you can take a break if on a walking or streetcar tour, benches in the park to people watch or enjoy the view of the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. The restaurant was diner-style, and had other foods besides the chocolate, but that of course was their primary function, there was also a gift shop so you could take plenty home. It does get a bit crowded at mealtimes so I would aim for just before or after so you don't have to wait as long, as sometimes the line was out the door for service.
