Take sometime and walk around the surrounding nature trails, really good views and spread out so you're not jam packed.
You could spend a couple of hours here walking across the bridge then taking in the views.

Traveling on the bridge by car is similar to other such journeys, but once you have reached the Park on the opposite side or the Hill (please be adived: it gets chilly up there, especially in windy conditions), the view of the Bridge are amazing. Actually, it's not only the bridge that adds to the beauty of the panorama but the adjoining seashore, the Alcatraz Island, and the cascading streets of San Francisco in the background, all amount a memorable vision.

It is a nice looking bridge with a view to look forward too. Could watch sail boats pass underneath it for a while

As an engineering feat the bridge is magnificent. The walk across gives every element of the toil and difficulties in the build. The views are magnificent over the bay. If time allows walk to the top of the hill to get the photo back over he bay.

We had a nice time walking across the bridge. Bikes on the west side and walkers on the east was so nice. Not having to dodge bikers made our walk pleasurable.

Nice views of the bridge from the shore and visitor center. Due to foggy weather could only see it from close up.
