Might be a tourist sight but it is for a reason. It looks so grand. Nice to take pictures with. Would have loved to go on bike to cross it, maybe next time.

My honey and I walked the bridge on a lovely Sunday afternoon. It was in December making it very busy. There was even construction happening at different points of the bridge making it even more crowded. But this place is definitely a must see even if you don't walk it. It only took about 25 minutes to walk it without rushing it. Walking it or biking it makes for some great pictures though!

Views from Fort Baker at Sausalito are absolutely awesome! The park is easy to get to and parking is plentiful. From the Bay edge of the Fort you can see Oakland, Alcatraz, San Francisco, and of course the Golden Gate up close and in person.

When I visited there were a few fisherman enjoying the day and many at the Discovery Museum. The area is immaculate and very scenic which makes it a most stop for the views alone

from an engineering point of view, the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most fantastic suspension bridges in the world. Spanning from the golden gate, or SF bay's opening over the Pacific Ocean to the mainland, it is a feat of engineering most couldn't imaging designing. The magnificent design compliments beautiful Golden Gate Park perfectly. The park requires several days time to explore sufficiently, though when you are done you will be glad you took the time to do so. From the Japanese Style Tea Garden to the fields where the buffalo's roam to the historic Golden Gate Fields to the Exploratorium and everything in between, there is sure to be something you will find worth wile to explore.

What is there to say that hasn't already been said about this wonder. Most people told us to hire a bike and ride over the bridge, but we decided to walk. No regrets whatsoever. Walk over the bridge and then down into Sausalito, a beautiful little town. Then the ferry back to the city. Great day
