“Best view of the city, striking WPA murals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2013

The bus ride to Coit Tower offer panoramic views and run pretty regularly. The WPA murals in the Tower are wonderful folk art - the signage is old and needs to be updated but the building itself is a good example of period architecture. You can walk down the hill instead of catching the bus and at the bottom is a nice park ringed with places to eat.

“Best pictures of the Bay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Long wait for the elevator, but that's to be expected for a historic building, right? It's a solid structure, very impressive that it has withstood so many earthquakes. The best pictures we took while visiting San Francisco were from the top of the tower.
Note: a flight of stairs are still at the top after getting off the elevator. For those who have difficulty climbing, these stairs may be an issue.

“Worth the climbing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 4, 2013 via mobile

If you are feeling energetic the climb up the steps from the very bottom is well worth it. Seeing the houses perched on the hillside is an experience in itself. View from the top is assign added bonus. We enjoyed it so much we returned visa the steps.

“Good but not great!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

Good views of San Francisco, bus ride on the 39 was nice however the glass on the windows does not really allow for outstanding photos. I personally prefered the views from the top of the DeYoung Museum.

Reasonable value for $7, murials at the bottom of the tower worth a look too.

“Great views of the city”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

This was a pretty neat place to view the city. We were able to ride the 39 bus up to the tower. The admission to the top is $7.00. Make sure you have cash because they do allow credit cards for tickets to the top. there are several windows to view different areas. The windows do have glass on them but we still got some pretty good pictures. You can actually see the cars driving down Lombard street in the distant. We went to the top around 5 and was able to see the sunset setting behind the city.
