Surrounded by the biggest names in retail you could really let your credit card run away with you here! Or you could wander through the Square looking at the art on display and get a coffee and watch the world go by. We did a bit of both.

We stayed a few blocks from Union Square so we were able to walk. We are not shoppers but this is a shoppers paradise! It's great people watching! We went right at dusk so it was great to see it all when the lights came on. It reminded me of a mini Time Square! Live music & great restaurants!

It's a square with nothing really going on inside of it apart from bums and beggars. The outside rim of it is dotted with big names stores and the side roads vein off to other parts of the city

Many shopping stores and malls around (macy's, saks,...). I love the Tony Bennett's heart shaped sculptures on the corners. One of San Francisco's main points of interest.
